Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas

Matt and I took our first grown-up vacation without the kiddo this past week. We had some frequent flyer miles to use, so we decided we might as well head out to Vegas, a place we have always wanted to check out. And let me just say up front, we only spent $5 gambling :)
We stayed at the MGM Grand which is one of the largest hotels in the world (we got lost many times). It also has a fantastic pool area complete with a lazy river. We were there 3 nights, which was just enough to take in the sights, but then get back to our little girl. Mia spent sometime with my parents, PawPaw and Dee Dee, and Matt's parents, Grandma (Ma Maw) and Granddaddy (Daeeee) while we were away. She did wonderful, which was so reassuring to hear!
We did lots of walking around on our trip just checking out the hotels (in 105 heat), but the highlight of our trip was a delicious dinner at Mesa Grill (Bobby Flay's restaurant) and the Cirque Du Soleil show "O" at the Bellagio. Thanks to Paul & Deanne for the recommendations! Enjoy the pictures!

Canal at The Venetian - just like Venice!

We had to do the gondola ride. Our gondolier, Santo, was from a region in Italy close to Tuscany. Not sure why he moved to Vegas :)

More pics to come......my picture uploader thing keeps messing up.
