Beach Trip 2009

Doing some catching up here.....the month of June held our first trip to the beach with a baby! We went to Santa Rosa beach with the Sewell family for a week and little Mia had a great time. She wasn't too sure about the sand and the ocean at first and cried on and off, but she gradually got used to things. We tried out the pool too, but she screamed the whole time! I think the water was too cold for her. We have a pool in our neighborhood here and have been a few times since the weather's been really hot and she has enjoyed swirling around in the water in my arms :) All in all, our trip to the beach was a delight - lots of good time with family and delicious food. And I celebrated the Big 3-0 birthday! Mia did not require near the amount of stuff that I thought she would with going out of town for a week....although she did manage to wear most of the clothes I packed. We look forward to another beach vacation next year when she'll most likely be walking and splashing around and causing trouble :) It will be a whole different ball game then!
