Mia's First Birthday - Nov. 29th, 2009

I know, I know....Mia is 16 mos today, but I feel compelled to catch up and post something about her 1st Birthday. We had a great celebration with family and a few friends at our house. It was gorgeous out, so we were able to hang out on the back deck too. Mia almost slept through her party though! We were transitioning to one nap at that time, and she caught me off guard with a 3 hour nap. Alas, the party didn't truly start until the birthday girl emerged :) I don't think she quite understood what was going on, but she did enjoy opening presents and playing with her cupcake. She took one bite of the cupcake and didn't go back for more. Ice cream was more her cup of tea. Chocolate ice cream of course! Here's some pictures from the memorable day.
